Five KCCA FC players in squad to Tunisia ahead of AFCON finals

Chances are high that KCCA FC will be well represented at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Finals in Gabon after five players from the league winners were included in the 26 man squad before the team flies out on December 31st for Tunisia.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, defenders Timothy Awany and Joseph Ochaya, midfielder Mazamiru Mutyaba and striker Geoffrey Sserunkuuma all are included in the team.

Initially KCCA FC had seven players in camp but midfielder Paul Mucureezi and striker Derrick Nsibambi were dropped the side as coach Micho Sredojević trimmed it to 26.

The Cranes will play against Tunisia on January 4th 2017 in Tunis in their first buildup game before flying out to Dubai to take on Slovakia on January 8th and later 2015 AFCON winners on January 11.

Micho has until January 4th 2017 to announce the 23 players he will be using for the group D games against Ghana, Egypt and Mali and will have the other three on standby until the tournament starts.
