On Sunday evening as Uganda Cranes defeated Slovakia 3-1 in a buildup game ahead of the January 14th – February 5th Africa Cup of Nations tournament, KCCA FC players had a strong stay in the result.
Defenders Timothy Awany and Joseph Ochaya played the entire game and actually put in stellar displays, the former played at the heart of defense in the first half with Hassan Wasswa and with Murushid Juuko in the second.
Great feeling for me because my aim is to give 100 percent every time I am given a chance
Awany told www.kccafc.co.ug on Sunday evening after the game before adding.
It was a good result for team which boosts our confidence going into the actual tournament, such games and results take away the nerves especially since Uganda will be playing their for the first time in a long time.
Uganda’s goals came through Moses Oloya after just five minutes of player before Miya Farouk doubled the score line.

As the Europeans pulled one back, Joseph Ochaya crossed for Cranes captain Geoffrey Massa who headed home with 13 minutes left on the clock, Ochaya later told this website.
We are gradually getting to where we want to be, we just need to keep on working, this time is for fine tuning ourselves and putting final touches on those grey areas, game like these just help us to do so
Azam Uganda Premier leading league leading scorer Geoffrey Sserunkuuma was unused substitute but will be hoping for game time against Ivory Coast on Wednesday before the cranes head to Gabon.
