CLUB STATEMENT ON FUFA’S DECISIONS ON 2019/20 SEASON

Dear Public and KCCA FC Family,

Following FUFA’s pronouncement on the status of Football Competitions for 2019/20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following was decided in regards to the competitions were we as a club featured.

  1. StarTimes Uganda Premier League; All teams having played 25 of their 30 fixtures, 200 out of 240 matches (83.33%) Article 18(c) of the FCR is applied and the table standings adjusted accordingly. Therefore, we finish 2019/20 as first runners up with 50 points from 25 games.
  2. Stanbic Uganda Cup; FUFA will continue monitoring the situation with the desire to conclude the competition before the start of next season. (We progressed to quarter finals)
  3. FUFA Juniors League; The season 2019/20 is hereby declared null and void.
  4. CAF Confederation Cup; Following Article 16 (6) of FCR, the Executive Committee of FUFA nominated KCCA FC to represent Uganda in CAF Confederation Cup 2020/21 season.

As a club, our focus immediately turns to preparation for 2020/21 season and especially ensuring we find and fix the missing necessary pieces to the puzzle.

In such uncommon situations, it’s the club’s foremost priority to ensure health and safety of all. We continue to urge the public to keep safe and follow the stipulated guidelines by the Ministry of Health on how to avoid the COVID-19.

With quite some uncertainty on when normalcy in the sporting world will be restored, we pledge to keep you up to date with lots of amazing packages during this season break.
