Fresh from a record breaking home score, 13 time StarTimes Uganda Premier League Champions KCCA FC host Mbarara City FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in the third league game for the 2020/21 season.
The Kasasiro boys have won two of their opening league games hence gathering maximum points so far while Mbarara City have one point from the opening two games. The Ankole Lions picked a point against URA FC at home in Mbarara and lost to SC Villa away on Wednesday 9th December. They will be hoping to pick their first win of the season.
The last league fixture at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo between both teams ended 1-0 in favor of KCCA FC courtesy of a powerful header from Filbert Obenchan on 8th January 2020
The game is the second for KCCA FC at the new named MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo and also the third game for the club in the new season.
KCCA FC camp has been boosted with the new development on the situation regarding fans in stadiums under the new normal. FUFA has allowed KCCA FC to host at least 200 fans for its home games but strictly adhering to the set standard operating procedures.

Coach Mike Mutebi’s charges will be boosted by the return of midfielder Kafumbe Joseph and Bukenya Joseph Kizza who is yet to play a senior club game for KCCA FC. The pair returned from AFCON Zonal Qualifiers where they led Uganda to glory.
Gift Ali is ruled out injured after he picked a knock during the 8-0 mauling against Onduparaka FC on Tuesday
John Revita has upped his recovery this week. The defender started light individual running since he was operated in June 2020. He is expected to return early next year.
Sadat Anaku and Julius Poloto are still out injured.

We want to win the game. We want to get the three points. What comes with in the game is another thing all together.Unfortunately Gift Ali is out due to injury, but the teenagers form the U20 tournament Kafumbe Joseph and Bukenya Kizza have been cleared to play.
Our ambition is to win the league and also play well. We are playing at 50% and we are only supposed to stay at that or better that but not go down.
