Five KCCA FC teenagers summoned for National Duty | AFCON U17

Five KCCA FC players have been summoned to the Uganda U17 Men’s National Team (The Uganda Cubs) ahead of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, 2021 finals.

The Five are, Ibrahim Juma who was the captain for the Cubs when they won the CECAFA U17 tournament in Rwanda – December 2020.

Others are Defender Mukisa Simon and midfielder Mwanje Elvis Eddy who also was an important figure in the team that won the CECAFA U17 tournament last year.

Forwards Shafiq Magogo and Mawa Oscar who won the top scorers’ gong with six goals in the 2020 CECAFA U17 tournament hosted in Kigali have also made the squad.

All the five KCCA FC summoned players were part of the winning team that brought the CECAFA U17 trophy home in 2020.

The Cubs will start residential training at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru in preparation for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, 2021 finals to be played from 13th to 31st March 2021 in Morocco.
