A brace from youngsters Lwanga Charles and Bright Anukani together with an early strike from Moses Aliro is all KCCA FC needed to obliterate MYDA FC at Lugogo.
KCCA FC got into game day 8 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with 10 points from 7 games. Visitors MYDA FC had a point from 7 games and faced a gigantic task to pick their first win against KCCA FC at Lugogo.
KCCA FC’s Moses Aliro drew first blood in the 5th minute with a first time rifle into the net off a well laid cross from Charles Lwanga.
The provider almost turned scorer but his header was collected by MYDA’s keeper Ssekandi in the 12th minute.
Lukwago was called into action to keep out Nsimbe Ibra’s shot on 15 minutes. The skipper acrobatically parried the ball wide.
Lwanga then found the back of the net but the linesman ruled that he was a fraction ahead of MYDA’s last man and flagged him offside on 25 minutes.
At the half hour mark, Anukani laid a defense splitting pass to Anukani but his effort went inches off the upright.
After recess, Keziron Kizito replaced Juma Balinya.
On 52 minutes, Lwanga dribbled past his marker and laid a beautiful pass in the box that found an unmarked Anukani who tapped home KCCA FC’s second.
MYDA’s Amos Etojo was then cautioned for a foul on Anukani right at the hour mark.
Brian Aheebwa got into a series of close misses with the first, a lob from distance dropping on the top of the net and the other two saved by custodian Ssekandi in the 63, 69 and 70th minutes.
MYDA’s Coach rung some changes. Introducing Amos Kirya for Eric Mutebi and Isma Mafabi for Solomon Babyesiza.
Kigozi Andrew replaced Aheebwa in the 78th minute.
On 83 minutes, Lwanga who had an eventful evening nodded home off Achai Herbert’s cross to get his third goal in three games and KCCA FC’s third on the day.
Five minutes later, Lwanga doubled his day’s tally with a worldie of a finish. The Youngman picked the ball from midfield, beat his marker and curled home beautifully to make it four goals for KCCA FC.
At the death, Aliro’s cross hit an opponent’s arm in the box and referee pointed at the penalty spot. Bright Anukani stepped up to slot from 12 yards and that sealed the day for KCCA FC.
5-0 the final score.
KCCA FC now have 13 points from 8 games this term.
The 13 times Champions visit Wakiso Giants on Tuesday 23rd February 2021 at Wakissha.
