UPDF FC and KCCA FC played out a one all draw in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League Game played at Bombo Military Grounds.

The draw means KCCA FC are now on 42 points and lie 4th on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table.

Julius Poloto’s blinding goal at the stroke of first half canceled out Brian Kayanja’s penalty that came in the 21st minute.

Early in the game, Denis Iguma had the chance to put KCCA FC ahead from a good corner kick by Poloto but his header went inches over the crossbar.

In the 21st minute, the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Gift Ali handled the ball in the 18 yard box. UPDF’s Brian Kayanja stepped up and slotted past Charles Lukwago and handed the hosts an early lead.

In the 32nd minute, Sam Ssenyonjo was fouled by UPDF’s Muwanga. KCCA FC were awarded a freekick. Sadat Anaku’s effort flew over the crossbar.

Three minutes from the half time break, Magambo Peter headed wide from Mugume Ashraf’s beautiful delivery in the box.

Poloto Julius | UPDF FC vs KCCA FC

Poloto Julius then drew the tie level with a blinding curler at the stroke of halftime to send both teams into the break level.

After recess, Sadat Anaku was taken off injured after a nasty challenge from UPDF’s Bernard Muwanga who raised a high boot on the young man’s head. Muwanga was cautioned for the incident in the 53rd minute.

Morley Byekwaso then run some changes, Juma Balinya and Keziron Kizito replaced Sadat Anaku and Hebert Achai on 59 minutes.

Samuel Ssenyonjo | UPDF FC vs KCCA FC at Bombo Military Grounds

In the 73rd minute, Lwanga Charles and Sserwadda Steven replaced injured Sam Ssenyonjo and Gift Ali.

10 minutes later, substitutes Lwanga and Balinya combined well. The latter teed up the former whose effort flew across the goal mouth and out.

Deep in stoppage time, Lwanga seemed to have won the game for KCCA FC with a half volley at the death but UPDF’s shot stopper Yusuf Wasswa tipped the ball over the bar for a corner kick.
