KCCA FC and Express FC played out a 1-1 draw in the 2nd leg of the quarter final of the Stanbic Uganda Cup played at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Anaku Sadat’s first half sublime goal was canceled out by Martin Kizza’s late penalty in the 85th minute.
KCCA FC looked the better side in the opening minutes with attempt after attempt on the Express FC goal but the visitors had answers to questions asked.
Samuel Ssenyonjo had the game’s best chance in the first half after dribbling past three men but his final ball was blocked by Express’ Isa Lumu at the half hour mark.
With three minutes to play in the opening stanza, Mugume Ashraf teed up Sadat Anaku who twisted and turned before firing a beauty of a goal past Express’ custodian Otim.
1-0 KCCA FC at the interval.
After recess, Kato Samuel was cautioned for a foul on Express’ Charles Musiige in the 55th minute.
Anaku had the chance to double the lead but his shot flew wide off the upright in the 70th minute.
With a quarter an hour to play, Anukani, Lwanga and Balinya replaced Mugume, Ssenyonjo and Keziron respectively.
On the 83rd minute, Express were awarded a penalty after KCCA FC captain Charles Lukwago who had the ball in his hands but then shoved Express’ Musiige. The referee who was a yard away pointed to the penalty spot.
Martin Kizza stepped up to draw the tie level and hand Express the advantage.

KCCA FC’s journey in the Uganda Cup and chance to win any silverware this season ending there.
The 13 times league Champions have got to fight for pride in the league with four games to play this season.
