CECAFA Kagame Cup
Defending Champions returned to winning ways against Zanzibar’s KMKM SC in the second group game at the CECAFA Kagame Cup.
KCCA FC started the game at the front foot with attack after attack but KMKM had answers to questions asked by the KCCA attack.
Brian Aheebwa was fouled at the edge of the box. Julius Poloto stepped up to take the freekick but his effort flew over the bar in the second minute.

in the 14th minute, Poloto’s well curled ball met an unmarked Mugume Ashraf in the six yard box but his header was saved by KMKM keeper Nasoor Abdallah.
In the 20th minute, Herbert Achai won possession from the center line, passed to Aheebwa who passed to Anukani and back to Achai who calmly struck passed the KMKM custodian on the near post.

After recess, Brian Aheebwa was fouled in the box but the referee awarded an indirect freekick. Majwega’s effort flew up and above.
At the hour mark, Juma Balinya replaced Bright Anukani.
In the 63rd minute, Poloto hit the woodwork with a fierce shot and two minutes later he was stretched off injured.

Kigozi Samson and Lwanga Charles replaced Julius Poloto and Brian Aheebwa in 71st minute
Iguma was cautioned for a foul on Samir Said in 72nd minute.
Musa Ramathan who took on captain duties and Mwirusi Ali were cautioned in the 85th and 88th respectively.
Yassar Mugerwa was handed his debut for KCCA FC when he replaced Gift Ali in the 88th minute.
0-1 the final score. KCCA FC winning the second game to go second in group B.

KCCA FC play Le Messager Ngozi on Saturday 7th August, 7pm at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Daresalaam.
