KCCA FC and BrightStars FC played out a one all draw on a wet afternoon in Kavumba.
The game that was played amidst the heavy afternoon downpour produced two goals in the second stanza, one for each team.
In the opening stanza, KCCA FC missed a couple of chances and should have gone ahead inside 10 minutes after the start.
Innocent Wafula twice dribbled past his marker and crossed in the box but the KCCA FC bodies were a fraction late to connect the ball in the back of the net.
Sadat Anaku could have broken the deadlock but his shot flew past the upright at 15 minutes.
On 28 minutes, Davis Kasirye picked his spot from outside the box and shot towards the goal but his effort rattled the woodwork.
Yassar Mugerwa turned on the style dribbling past defenders in the past first 5 minutes and set up Anaku whose shot flew high above the crossbar.
0-0 at the break.
After recess, BrightStars took the lead courtesy of Nelson Senkatuka’s header from a corner kick on 51 minutes.
11 minutes later, Ashraf Mugume restored parity with a trademark long range finish outside the box off a good ball from Herbert Achai.
Morley rung some changes, introducing Poloto, Mato and Gift for Anaku, Wafula and Yassar on 70 minutes.
10 minutes to the end of the game, Lwanga Charles replaced Davis Kasirye.
1-1 at FULLTIME.
KCCA FC sharing spoils against BrightStars FC and dropping points for the first time this season.
The league takes a two weeks break and KCCA FC will host UPDF FC next on 19th November 2021 at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
