KCCA FC suffered its first defeat in the 2021/22 season against URA FC away in Luweero.

KCCA FC welcomed Innocent Wafula back in this game and the defender started at right back. Gift Ali is another that returned in this game but had to start from the bench.

KCCA FC got off to a flying start with attack after attack and in the 8th minute, URA’s Farouq Katongole got booked for a foul on Sadat Anaku who seemed to have peeled away from him and was heading towards goal.

Innocent Wafula skips a tackle

Majwega Brian curled in a beautiful freekick but the ball was headed wide by Davis Kasirye on 13 minutes.

5 minutes later, Majwega beat his marker Mandela and crossed in the box but again Kasirye headed the ball wide off the upright.

In the 24 minute, Majwega crossed in the box again and Davis Kasirye this time nodded the ball towards goal, URA’s custodian Alionzi spilled the ball and Sadat Anaku tapped home from close quarters but the linesman Hakim Mulindwa flagged him offside.

Mato Rogers battles with URA’s Saidi Kyeyune

In the 32nd minute, Rogers Mato’s strike found the back of the net but the goal was again disallowed by the second assistant referee Hakim Mulindwa who indicated that there was a player offside.

In the 36 minute, the visitors URA found the back of the net through Steven Mukwala whose header bounced on the goal keeper before rolling in goal.

1-0 at halftime.

After recess, URA’s Ojera got booked for talking back to the referee in the 58th minute.

In the 63rd minute, Usama Arafati picked his spot on the edge of the box and shot but the ball rolled wide.

Morley made the first change, introducing Gift Ali for Brian Majwega in the 66th minute.

Kigozi Andrew later replaced Usama in the 77th minute.

Gift Ali could have settled the game for KCCA FC but his fierce shot rattled the frame of the goal before it was cleared away in the 82nd minute.

Morley made the final change of the game, introducing teenager Ibrahim Juma for Mato Rogers in the 84th minute.
