The weekend presents to the faithfuls yet another blockbuster clash as two of the most successful football clubs in Uganda Football, KCCA FC and SC Villa face off in the famous ”Kampala Derby” at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo
KCCA FC are placed second on the Uganda Premier League table while SC Villa are a position above the relegation zone.
Thirteen placed SC Villa have 18 points from 19 games and are 22 points behind KCCA FC on the log.
SC Villa lost the previous league game 1-0 against Busoga United FC at home.

Team News.
Manager Morley Byekwaso missed the training sessions on Thursday and Friday because he was unwell. He is expected to return to the job when he recovers fully.
Ashraf Mugume has returned from a minor injury and will be part of the match day squad that will face SC Villa.
Brian Majwega is back in the squad. The winger missed the previous game against Express FC due to suspension.
Gift Ali is ruled out of the derby. He suffered a knock on his knee in the previous game against Express FC
Charles Lwanga’s possibility of facing his former side SC Villa is in doubt. The forward has been training privately all week after he suffered a knock in training.
Dominic Ayella is away due to school commitments.
Yassar Mugerwa returned to light training this week but remains a doubt for the derby.
Peter Magambo returned to full team training this week and is available for selection.
Wasswa Emmanuel continues his light rehabilitation training as he works his way to full recovery from a knee injury.
Wasswa Geofrey stepped up his post surgery rehabilitation training this week. The defender underwent knee surgery early January 2022.
Kayanja Brian is still out of action. The player underwent knee surgery in December 2021.

Every game to us is a final. We are taking it a game at a time. We have prepared the players quite well and whoever gets the opportunity to make the match day squad tomorrow knows the task at hand. It is unfortunate that we will not have Gift Ali and Mugerwa but we are also delighted that Mugume and Majwega are back.
