KCCA FC youngsters Elvis Mwanje, Juma Ibrahim and Dominic Ayella are pleased with themselves after starting their first home games for KCCA FC.

Juma and Mwanje had previously started their first game for KCCA FC against Tooro United in Buhinga on 29th April and helped the club win 2-0 with the latter providing an assist for Anaku’s opener.

Four days later, they started their first senior home game for KCCA FC and were being joined by another youngster Dominic Ayella who has been absent for the biggest part of the season due to school commitments with Kibuli SSS one of KCCA FC’s schools of excellence.

Juma was played as wingback, Mwanje as a midfielder as well as Ayella who was making his senior debut.

The youngsters gave a good account of themselves on their first home start.

Ayella and Mwanje were later substituted off in the 69th minute for Brian Majwega and Usama Arafat respectively.

For teenager Juma Ibrahim, he will have the 3rd May 2022 forever etched on his memory. The young man played 90 minutes on his full home debut and the icing on the cake was his 16th minute diving header that proved to be the difference in the tie.

The trio spoke to this website about how they felt starting their first home games and said;

I am very happy for this day, starting a home game and playing infront of these amazing fans. I am eager for more opportunities here and I am thankful to the technical team and my fellow players. I will keep working more and more to nail down a place on the team

I want to thank Coach Morley for this opportunity. The game was beautiful and tough too. Our opponents made it hard for us but I am happy I helped the team win today, scored on my full home debut and kept a clean sheet.

I am so delighted for playing my first game for KCCA FC. It has been a long time coming and I looked forward to this day. I had a couple of chances and should have scored for the team today but that did not happen. I will go back and work hard and fight to stay in the team. I am thankful to the coaches, my teammates and club at large for the patience they have heard with me and trusting me Dominic Ayella

The trio have a chance to feature against Busoga United FC in game day 28 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday 7th May at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
