KCCA FC picked a routine win against Busoga United FC at MTN Omondi Stadium.
A first half own goal from Busoga’s Bithum canceled out Shaka Ssozi’s opener for the visitors and substitute Eris Ssekisambu scored just two minutes after his introduction to hand KCCA FC the third win in three games.
In the 8th minute, Mazengo teed up Ayella whose shot was blocked by Busoga’s Mulanda for a corner kick. The resultant corner was headed wide by Jurua.
In the 26th minute, Mugume beat his man and crossed in the box to Jurua who headed the ball into the side net.
Usama and Juma produced some fantastic football and the latter’s shot flew straight into the keeper’s hands in the 32nd minute.
Four minutes later, the visitors took the lead through Shaka Ssozi’s free kick that flew straight into the net.
Seven minutes later, Douglas Bithum put the ball in his goal keeper’s net to level the tie.
1-1 at halftime.
After recess, Anaku was cautioned for a foul on Busoga’s Mulanda.
At the hour mark, Majwega and Ssekisambu replaced Kasirye and Ayella.
Two minutes later, Ssekisambu scored off his first touch with an easy tap in. The goal was assisted by Anaku.
In the 71st minute, Mato and Aheebwa replaced Anaku and Usama.
Three minutes later, Jurua’s cross was headed inches wide by Ssekisambu who was unmarked in the visitors’ box.
Ssekisambu then scored off a good ball from Mugume but the referee said he was offside and the goal was cancelled in the 77th minute.
Mazengo stretched to deny Busoga Anwar from levelling matters in the 84th minute and was cautioned 4 minutes later for a foul on an opponent.
Mwanje Elvis replaced Jurua Hassan in stoppage time.
2-1 at full time.
