KCCA FC visit Aigle Noir in the second edition of the Nkurunziza Cup
KCCA FC was invited by Burundi side, Aigle Noir Sports Club to take part in the “Nkurunziza Cup” Match organized each year in memory of Late President Pierre Nkurunziza.
This will be the second edition of the cup and for this year, it coincides with the opening ceremonies of Aigle Noir SC Stadium called “NKURUNZIZA PEACE PARK COMPLEX” in Makamba Province.
KCCA FC traveled to Burundi on Wednesday 22nd June 2022.
Aigle Noir SC finished 5th in the Burundi Premier League in the 2021/22 season while KCCA FC finished second in the Uganda Premier League.
Team News.
Sadat Anaku is a doubt. The forward missed the last training session ahead of the game. He has been suffering from fever since the team landed in Burundi.
Moses Waiswa is likely to start his first game for KCCA FC since signing for the club this month.
Reserve team youngsters Faisal Wabyoona and Said Mayanja are likely to get their first senior games for the club. The pair traveled with the team to Burundi.

It is a pleasure to be invited by Aigle Noir SC to play in the sceond edition of the Nkurunziza Cup. We want to give them a good game and we will go for it 100%. We have a number of debutants in the squad that traveled. Moses Waiswa and two academy lads in Said Mayanja and Faisal Wabyona. We hope to give them some game time to acclamatize to contnental games.
