KCCA FC picked a hard-fought home win against Gaddafi FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Allan Okello’s late winner with 11 minutes of normal time left on the clock handed KCCA FC the three points.

At the stroke of halftime, Gaddafi’s Kitata Alex canceled out Majwega’s opener which was just two minutes after the start.

Gaddafi who were a little more physical in the opening half had two of their players in Mahad Kakooza and Shafiq Bakaki cautioned for being overzealous while tackling in the 5th and 23rd minute respectively.

At the quarter of an hour mark, Rogers Mato controlled a well-weighted pass from Musitafa Mujuzi but his shot was comfortably saved by Gaddafi’s Kusiima.

Fillbert Obenchan denied the visitors a goal-scoring opportunity when he cleared the ball out of danger in the 26th minute.

With six minutes to play, Waiswa teed up Brian Aheebwa who controlled, and cut inside before shooting on goal but his effort was saved by Gaddafi’s Kusiima.

At the stroke of halftime, Alex Kitata restored parity after the guests had capitalized on lost possession by KCCA FC in the midfield.

Level at the break.

Four minutes after recess, Shaban Muhammad replaced Brian Aheebwa.

In the 56th minute, Mato was brought down in the box, the referee waved play on but later cautioned Gaddafi’s Ibrahim Kiyimba but did not award the penalty.

Four minutes after the hour mark, Julius Poloto and Saidi Mayanja replaced Rogers Mato and Moses Waiswa.

Kagawa Ssenoga would later make way for a forward Charles Lwanga with a quarter of an hour to play.

Lwanga immediately had his impact on the game with smart runs in the box and headed inches wide off Poloto’s well-weighted corner kick two minutes after he was introduced.

When the game seemed like it was to end in a stalemate, Allan Okello had other plans. The little magician pulled the rabbit out of the hat with 11 minutes of normal time to play with a beauty of a strike from the edge of the 18-yard box to hand KCCA FC the lead again.

Lwanga had the chance to stretch KCCA’s lead to three goals but his effort in stoppage time was directed to Gaddafi’s custodian Kusiima with a minute to play.

2-1 the final score.

KCCA FC returning to winning ways at home and securing important three points in their own backyard.

The Kasasiro Boys visit Onduparaka FC next on 2nd December at Bombo Military Barracks Grounds at 2 pm.
