KCCA FC forward Rogers Kassim Mato has bagged two sports awards for the month of March 2023.
On Monday 3rd April 2023, sports journalists under the unifying body of USPA voted for Mato as the winner of the Supportive / Assist Award following his goal against Tanzania in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at the National stadium in Dar-es-salaam city.
This was at the monthly assembly held at Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala on Monday, April 3, chaired by president Moses Alsayed Lubega.
A day later, the forward was picked as the best footballer for the month of March 2023 in the Fortbet real star monthly awards.
The real stars awards have 18 athletes in a total of six sports disciplines vying for the best performers’ award every month.
The winners in the six sports disciplines walk home with accolades courtesy of Jude Colour solutions, Canan Soda and Fortbet as they are organized by Real Stars.
Rogers Mato has been phenomenal for both club and country and has scored in eight goals in the last 10 games that he has played for both club and country and this is since the turn of the new year.
