Gradually, August recruit Ronald Musana is cementing his position in the KCCA FC first team and his plausible display in the 2-1 win over Bright Stars at Mwererwe can testify to that.
Musana began life at Lugogo with a substitute appearance against Soana FC as KCCA FC picked a comfortable 2-0 win.
He then played at right-back against Jinja SSS but it is his spirited performance against Bright Stars last Tuesday as a right attacking wing back that had the club fans and coaches nodding in approval.
After collecting the ball from Dennis Okot, Musana weaved in a well calculated pass for striker Geoffrey Sserunkuuma to nod in KCCA FC’s lead inside the first minute.
He troubled the hosts’ backline the entire evening and went a long way in justifying why manager Mike Mutebi preferred him ahead of veteran winger Vincent Kayizzi.
“I play according the coach’s instructions and my position on the pitch will depend on the system we employ,” said the former Villa, The Saints and Nairobi FC versatile star.
Like other KCCA FC stars that have graced Villa Park before, Musana says he is focused more at what is at his current work station – Lugogo.
“I will play my usual game because I have nothing new to worry about. They have great players but we are ready to fight for positive results because the win will give us a big advantage at the top. We shall fight to protect our home advantage,” he said.
