SC Villa 1-2 KCCA FC

KCCA FC picked up its first points on the road this season against its old rival, SC Villa.
Ettiene Katenga found the back of the net in the 15th minute, courtesy of Gui Cungulo’s assist.
Four minutes later, Ashraf Mugume doubled KCCA’s lead off Fillbert Obenchan’s delivery in the box.
The hosts, SC Villa, pulled one back in the 32nd minute, from former KCCA FC player Charles Lwanga.
2-1 at the interval.
After the break, Dominic Ayella replaced Shaban Muhammad.
10 minutes after the restart, Usama Arafat was fouled on the edge of the 18-yard box by Villa’s skipper Ssemakula.
Mugume stepped up to take the resultant free kick, but his effort rattled the woodwork, and the ball was cleared away by Villa’s Masembe.
In the 62nd minute, Saidi Mayanja and Emmanuel Loki then replaced Gui Cungulo and Ettiene Katenga.
Mugume nodded Obenchan’s cross into the box just inches over the bar in the 68th minute.
10 minutes later, Derrick Ochan would become the savior when he kept out SC Villa’s best chance of the second half. Abas Kyeyune’s cross was headed on goal, but Ochan was in the right position to make an important save to ensure KCCA kept their lead.
At the 80-minute mark, Hassan Mubiru replaced Usama Arafat.
Joel Sserunjogi made a timely block to stop SC Villa’s attack and later started a move that almost ended in the back of the Villa net, but Ayella’s effort flew wide just two minutes to the end of normal time.
Defender James Mubezi replaced Musitafa Mujuzi who got cautioned as he left the pitch in additional time.
