Joseph Ogwang has signed his first senior contract with KCCA FC.

Ogwang, a KCCA Soccer Academy graduate, has penned a four-and-a-half-year contract with the KCCA FC senior team.

Ogwang joined KCCA Academy in 2019, and unfortunately, the player did not complete his first season in the FUFA Juniors League because the league was called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In July 2022, the player was part of the KCCA FC U20 side that won the Cambiasso and Rainbow International U20 tournament in Daresalam, Tanzania.

Until signing his senior contract, the player has since featured as a reserve player and also taken part in KCCA FC senior team training.

In December 2023, Ogwang completed his Uganda Advanced Certification of Education (UACE) exams at Kibuli Secondary School, one of our schools of excellence.

The fast-growing center back was the school football captain of Kibuli SS in 2023 and also won a gold medal in football at the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Associations 2022 games hosted in Arusha City, Tanzania.

Ogwang’s contract runs from January 2024 until June 2028

The player will don shirt 36 at KCCA FC and is licensed to feature for the club in all competitions.

I am so excited for this opportunity. It is every academy player’s dream to sign for the senior side. We were many good players in the academy but to be chosen among the many and signing my senior contract is a beautiful feeling. I want to achieve so much with this club because of the safe environment they have created for me and the trust they have showed me.
