KCCA FC will hold the second-ever holiday football program to ignite the desire for football among young footballers. The program will take place at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, and commence on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024.
Just like the objective for the first edition held in August, the program will provide a platform for aspiring football players to hone their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.
The age category eligible for the program has been maintained from three (3) to seventeen (17) years for both boys and girls.
Seasoned youth coaches, including former player and club captain Habib Kavuma, will nurture the young talents
The primary objective of the KCCA FC Soccer Academy Holiday Program is to identify and nurture young football talent by providing a structured and engaging learning environment.
We are excited to host the second edition of the KCCA FC Soccer Academy Holiday Football Program. The first edition was a success, and we are looking forward to a better edition than the previous one. We welcome the children back for holidays and want to continue to be part of the youngsters’ journey as they pursue a football career. Like the first edition, the football program focuses on playing football and the importance of cooperation, discipline, and fair play for a footballer. Our dream is to have as many players groomed from our academy straight into our senior team, as we recently saw with youngster Brian Ijara, our academy player who featured for the senior team in a league game against the Maroons and played well. – Anisha Shahir Muhoozi, CEO, KCCA FC
The KCCA FC Holiday Football Program aims to:
- Develop fundamental football skills: Coaches will focus on imparting essential techniques such as passing, shooting, dribbling, and ball control.
- Enhance physical fitness: Participants will undergo fitness drills to improve their stamina, speed, and agility.
- Foster teamwork and sportsmanship: The clinic emphasizes the importance of cooperation, discipline, and fair play.
- Inspire and motivate young players: By interacting with KCCA FC players and coaches, participants will be encouraged to pursue their football dreams.
- Create a fun learning experience. The clinic will incorporate games and activities to make the learning process engaging and enjoyable
The football program starts on Wednesday, 4th December 2024, from 8 am to 12 pm. The program will take a break during the festive season from 19th December 2024 until 5th January 2025.
The KCCA FC Soccer Academy Holiday Program will then resume on 6th January until 31st January 2025.
Each participant will pay a 300,000 UGX fee for the holiday football program, with the academy kit costing 100,000 UGX.
