With just two days to the much anticipated 2017 Total CAF Champions League clash between KCCA FC and Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend, head coach Mike Mutebi has sounded confident about his team.

Uganda’s representatives, KCCA FC take on last year’s winners Mamelodi Sundowns in the return leg of the first round this Saturday at Phillip Omondi stadium, the latter lead the tie 2-1 on aggregate.

Coach Mike Mutebi indicates the players are in buoyant mood and have showed a lot of self-belief ahead of the game.

The mood in the camp is positive but most importantly, the players have the self-belief that they have what it takes to knock out Sundowns. I’m confident that we can get the result we want because our style of play guarantees us to create chances and we shall create them. We only need to be effective and put them away

The manager told www.kccafc.co.ug after the Thursday training session and he believes the team could have gotten a better result away from home but indicated the slow start cost them.

They were timid for first 15 minutes and we ended up conceding avoidable goals but along the way, the players grew in confidence and eventually played better. The fact is we created chances and I believe we would have gotten a much better result

Manager will bank on Geoffrey Sserunkuma who has scored all the three goals KCCA FC have managed on the continent and the winner on aggregate will advance to the group stages.
