Seven KCCA FC players are apart of the 18 man squad Cranes coach Micho Sredejovic has summoned ahead of the international friendly against Kenya on March 23rd 2017 at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
Of those seven, midfielder Brian Majwega and defender Habib Kavuma have not been part of the national team for some time.
Actually Kavuma who has been part of the national team setup since 2007 was last seen in national team colors on November 19th 2014 at Stade Mohamed V, Casablanca, Morocco as Uganda lost to Guinea 2-0 in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nation’s qualifiers.
It’s good to be summoned, it’s every player’s dream to play for their national team, and once you get to that level, you want to stay there
Kavuma told www.kccafc.co.ug before revealing why he was able to catch national team selectors’ eyes again.
Hard work, hard work and discipline, also the commitment and desire to get better, but also the consistency of the good performances at my club
Majwega was last seen in national team colors on June 13 2015 as Cranes defeated Botswana 2-0 at Namboole in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
I have always considered myself a national team player but lately my form has been down, am picking myself up again and I believe the coaches have noticed that, I need to continue working hard, to stay there
Majwega also told the club website before the team’s departure on Tuesday morning ahead of the friendly that will be played at the Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi.

The other KCCA FC players on the team are goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, defender Timothy Awany and Joseph Ochaya, midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba and on form striker Geoffrey Serunkuuma.
