Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have had a torrid period this week failing to pick maximum points in two games.

After a one all stalemate against Soana on Tuesday, the defending champions failed yet again to go past Police FC on Friday throwing away a two goal lead and the game eventually ended in a 2 all draw.

Despite the slump, manager Mike Mutebi is confident his team is still in the contention for the title but believes they have to sort the few mistakes.

It is a marathon, we are still on but we must learn to concentrate if we are leading a game

The manager told www.kccafc.co.ug after the game against Police at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, he added.

We shall go back to the drawing board and try to iron out the mistakes we have committed today and make sure we return to winning ways soon

The team manager believes his side lost concentration towards the end, the reason they conceded the two late goals.

We failed to keep the intensity we put out at the start, so the players lost concentration and the opponents went ahead to hurt us

However, the tactician believes the blip will be a motivating factor to the players ahead of the forthcoming fixtures

Of course we failed to get the result we wanted but we won’t dwell on that, we need to put today’s game at the back of our minds and see how we improve. It is a wake up call to the players and I believe this will motivate them to be vigilant and focused in our next games,” he noted.

KCCA FC remain second on the table with 42 points but with two games in hand and will host Bright Stars on April 4th, 2017 at Lugogo.
