KCCA FC pick another point on the road

League champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) settled for a third draw in the opening four ties of the 2027/2018 Azam Uganda Premier League against Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA)

It was one of those affairs that offered a lot in KCCA FC’s attack but also one of those days that would qualify to be not so good at office.

Manager Mike Mutebi retained Benjamin Ochan in goal,  but Filbert Obenchan started in place of sick Timothty Awany.

Habib Kavuma also came back into the fray for Paul Musamali who was also sidelined through Malaria.

The five man midfield of Isaac Kirabira, Muzamir Mutyaba and Jackson Nunda were complimented by Julius Poloto on the right and Issac Muleme on  the left.

Tito Okello and Derrick Nsibambi led the line, the duo should have given KCCA the lead inside the first 10 minutes but were both denied by URA goalie Mathias Muyanga on different occasions.

The hosts made sure it’s a cagey affair, forcing KCCA FC limited space on the ball but also closing the spaces.

Muzamir Mutyaba and Jackson Nunda kept on enforcing themselves thorough the middle as Isaac Muleme also tried to find a breakthrough from the left.

The manager tried to make changes in the second half, with Allan Kateregga came on for Jackson Nunda, it was the former’s league debut with KCCA FC.

later Paul Mucureezi came on for Julius Poloto who had been kept quiet by URA all through, Patrick Kaddu was also introduced for Tito Okello.

KCCA FC continued to push to something, Patrick Kaddu brushed an aerial ball to release Derrick Nsibambi.

The latter’s awareness, ball control and effort were superb but failed to beat the alert URA goalie, Mathias Muwanga.

Paul Mucureezi and Derrick Nsibambi again combined as they launched an attack in the URA penalty area.

The striker the was pulled after beating his defender, bug the referee and his assistant signaled for a goal kick.

A point is what KCCA FC left Namboole with, talking the point’s tally to six, four and in fifth possession, four behind log leaders Vipers who are on six.
