KCCA FC picked up three points in the Uganda Premier League away in Jinja thanks to Derrick Nsibambi’s goal that came five minutes from full time.

Nsibambi floated in space to thump home in the 85th minute off a perfect delivery down the right flank from defender Filbert Obenchan and also ensuring he recorded his fifth league goal this season.

Earlier in the game, the forward struck attempts inches wide on 42 and 66 minutes and had a clear penalty claim denied with quarter an hour to play.

Custodian Charles Lukwago was called into action on several occasions and the gangly stopper hardly set a foot wrong pulling off a couple of saves in the 32nd and 78th minute to keep the Champions in the tie also recording his 10th clean sheet in 14 league games.

Forward Patrick Kaddu also had some chances at goal the closest coming from a beautiful interplay between Mutyaba and Okwalinga, the latter releasing the forward who shot wide off the up left 15 minutes in the game and a disallowed goal by the referee with claiming the forward fouled before finding the back of the net.

Skipper Timothy Awany twice nodded straight to the hosts’ custodian four minutes into the second half and on 62 minutes off Mutyaba’s beautiful free kick.

Filbert Obenchan, Bukenya Lawrence, Musana Hassan were introduced to the game in the second stanza for Solomon Okwalinga, Patrick Kaddu and Paul Musamali in the 58th, 74th and 78th minutes respectively.
