KCCA FC Gaffer Mike Mutebi has come out to speak about his side’s free attacking style of play away on the continent that is believed by many to be the cause of the club’s elimination from this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
KCCA FC lost 3-0 away against AS Otoho and went on to win 2-0 in the reverse fixture but fell short on aggregate.
There is a common thought that if only Mutebi’s side had played defensive football away and picked up a more decent result then may be the two goals at home against AS Otoho would be enough for the team to progress to the group stages of the Confederation Cup.
When asked for his say on this, the Gaffer said;
We must have an identity. We shall insist on playing our way and there is no question about that. There is no plan B, it is always A and may be all we have to do is perfect that A. That is the difference between a mediocre club and a big club. We just have to play with caution and discipline like we did against AS Otoho at home where we did not concede a goal at home and won 2-0. If only we can reciprocate this home performance when we travel for games away on the continent then we shall have perfected the philosophy.
