KCCA FC were 4-0 winners against Onduparaka FC and got back to winning ways recording their first win in five games in all competitions.

The Champions got into this one with seven points in five games and knew a win against Onduparaka FC at home would blow confidence among the players.

The visitors had the game’s best chance under 10 minutes through Rajab Kakooza but his shot was acrobatically saved by Charles Lukwago.

Kasozi who has handed a start at home picked a loose ball in the midfield and shot towards goal but custodian Yusuf was equal to the task.

Onduparaka’s Faizul Ibrahim was then cautioned for a foul on Allan Okello on 16 minutes.

Peter Magambo was cautioned for a foul on Onduparaka skipper Gadafi Wahab and was later substituted for Gift Ali on the half-hour marker.

Three minutes later, Keziron Kizito orchestrated a move from deep and his pass found Sadat Anaku who nutmegged his marker and slotted home to give KCCA FC the lead and open his account in the league for the club.

Mike Mutyaba almost doubled KCCA’s lead before the break but his shot rattled the woodwork and Simon Serunkuma failed to clean up on the rebound.

After recess, Serunkuma made way for Erisa Sekisambu. The cameo immediately showed intent with smart runs down the right-wing but the caterpillar’s custodian Yusuf Wasswa had answers to questions asked.

Onduparaka made a change bringing Gibson Adinho for Joel Jangeyambe.

Anaku almost doubled the lead on 58 minutes but his shot was parried wide by Wasswa.

Mutyaba then opened his league account this season with a tap in from close range off a parried ball from Erisa Sekisambu shot on 63 minutes.

Five minutes later, Kizza quickly started a corner kick to Mutyaba who picked his spot and rifled the ball in the roof of the net to grab a brace.

With quarter an hour to play Mutyaba scored from the penalty spot to bag a hat trick on the day and score the fourth for KCCA FC.

The Caterpillars introduced Tabu Vitalis and Abdul Lukwata for Rajab Kakooza and Gaddafi Wahab while KCCA’s Nunda Jackson replaced teenager Allan Okello.

4-0 the final score. The Champions getting back to winning ways and now have 10 points in 6 games.

KCCA FC will host newcomers Kyetume FC on Tuesday 15th October at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo in matchday 10 of the Startimes Uganda Premier League.
