The number six started in the anchorman role in a largely changed Jonathan McKinstry Uganda Cranes side.
In the 58th minute, the midfielder picked a loose ball from 30 yards and had a first time hit that troubled Eritrea’s shot-stopper Kibrom Solomun Haile thus spilling the ball over his goal line and into the back of the net.
