KCCA FC will play CATDA FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, round of 64 at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.
KCCA FC obliterated Amuka Brightstars 8-2 at this round in the last edition of the Uganda Cup and later got eliminated at the round of 32 last term by Tooro United FC.
10 – KCCA FC is the record winner of the Stanbic Uganda Cup. A record 10 times and counting.
KCCA FC commences life without teenage prodigy Allan Okello who moved to Algeria for professional football and Mike Mutebi is tasked with the responsibility to find the right pieces to the puzzle.
Team News
New signing Moses Aliro could make his debut for KCCA FC. The winger cum fullback is a KCCA soccer academy graduate.
KCCA’s goalscorer against Tooro United, Opio Sunday is also part of the squad that will face CATDA.
Skipper Charles Lukwago has recovered from illness and is likely to be part of the matchday squad.
Julius Poloto, Sadat Anaku, Ali Mwirusi, and Kizza Mustafa have their licensing issues sorted and are part of the match day squad.
Muzamiru Mutyaba (shoulder) and Jurua Hassan (knee) are ruled out due to injury together with Sadam Juma and Jackson Nunda who stepped up their rehabilitation on Tuesday 7th January.
Keziron Kizito, Eric Ssenjobe, and Simon Serunkuma are other players ruled out.

In the pre-match presser, Manager Mike Mutebi had this to say;
We are ready for CATDA FC. Most of the players are available and we shall select the best team for the task at hand.
We want to win the Uganda Cup and that means we have to show intent from word go.
We will give it our best and we hope we can overcome the opponents and progress.
No team in this competition is a push over and we expect our opponents to come and give us a hard time but we shall do everything possible to win the tie and progress to the next round.
