KCCA FC will visit 13th placed Kyetume FC in-game day 19 of the second round of the Startimes Uganda Premier League at The Mighty Arena, Jinja

KCCA FC were 5-2 winners in the reverse fixture at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo in November.

The fixture saw teenager Sam Ssenyonjo ushered into the senior team and he found the back of the net on his maiden game for the club. The teenager is yet to play a league game in the second round due to licensing issues.

Kyetume FC is yet to win a game in the second round of the league. The 13th placed side has lost twice, drawn once.

In the previous cup game, Mike Mutebi fielded more players who have not played that much this 2nd term.

Lukwago who was returning from illness started between the posts, debutant, Moses Aliro was handed his debut, Kizza made his first start of the second round, Magambo started at the heart of the defense for the first time since the game against Brightstars at home in the first round.

Kasozi Nicholas started as the anchorman, supplemented by Sserwadda and Achai. Poloto, Anaku, and Mike led the three-man attack.

A few of the players that started the cup game could be handed another start. Among these is Moses Aliro who had a stellar debut and Magambo Peter who had a good display at the heart of the defense.

Julius Poloto and Sadat Anaku could also start upfront in a three-man attack.

Teenager Sadat Anaku could lead the front line against Kyetume FC

The defending Champions have scored the most goals this term, 35 and conceded 17 times in the eighteen games played so far this season.

As much as the Champions have scored the most goals, that have let in 17 goals which should be a concern to coach Mike Mutebi and his technical team.

Kyetume lie 13th with 19 points from 18 games. The new boys are a position above the red line with three points difference separating them and 14th placed Brightstars FC.

Sadam Ibrahim Juma has returned to full training with the first team. It remains to be seen whether Mike Mutebi can hand him a start after spending 6 months out injured.

KCCA’s goalscorer against Tooro United, Opio Sunday is doubtful to feature after involvement in the FUFA Juniors League on the weekend against Express FC Junior team in which he scored. The teenager did not take part in the last team training on Monday evening.

Skipper Charles Lukwago could make another start in the league after recovering from illness. The shot-stopper played a whole 90 minutes against CATDA FC in cup football on Friday.

Julius Poloto and Sadat Anaku have their licensing issues sorted and are part of the traveling squad to Jinja. If Poloto starts, he will be making his first league start since March 2019.

Sam Ssenyonjo is likely not to feature because of licensing issues.

Kizza Mustafa is likely to start in left-back for the first time in the league in this second round.

Jurua Hassan (knee) is ruled out due to injury. Jackson Nunda is still undertaking rehabilitation that he commenced on Tuesday 7th January.

Keziron Kizito, Eric Ssenjobe, and Simon Serunkuma are other players ruled out.

We have a broader squad now. With Anaku, Poloto now in. we have options. Sadam is back and we have to see if we can field him now or later.

The Captain Lukwago recovered from illness and he will start against Kyetume FC.

Kizza is also back and will start against Kyetume. The young man Aliro had a good debut against CATDA and he also gives us options in right back. He has to jostle for the spot with Obenchan and Musa

We had a difficult game against Kyetume in the first round and we know what kind of threat they pose. The players know the magnitude of the task at hand.
