INJURY UPDATE ahead of #KCCAEXP

There is some relief for Mike Mutebi’s side after a number of his players have returned to full fitness ahead of the league’s business end.

KCCA FC has been struck with a number of injuries this season and just when one player gets back to full fitness, another checks into the sickbay.

Here’s the injury update ahead of #KCCAEXP

Julius Poloto

The fast feet winger picked up a groin injury against URA late January 2020. He has returned to full fitness and took part in two friendly games this week. He could have made the team that played against Vipers on Tuesday but a precaution was taken to have him recover fully. He will be available for selection against Express FC on Saturday 22nd February.

Samuel Kato.

Until the reverse game against Tooro United, Kato had played each and every minute of KCCA FC’s games this season. The defender picked up an injury on his foot that kept him out since. He is now back to full training and his return gives the manager options at the back.

Sadat Anaku

A teenage prodigy, fox in the box, poacher name it. He is one every manager will love to have on their team. He pulled a muscle against Kyetume FC in Jinja lin January that has since kept him out. He has undergone rehabilitation and is now back to full fitness.

Kizza Joseph Bukenya.

Another promising teenager who joined the club’s junior side in 2019. Bukenya has got good skills and technique off the ball and is one player in the manager’s future plans. He underwent an operation on his knee mid-2019 and he is now back to full fitness. A gem to watch out for.

Jackson Nunda

He has a niggling knee injury that has kept him out since the end of the first round. He started his rehabilitation in January and he will have to patiently obey the process before he returns to the full team

Jurua Hassan

He got a knee injury mid-2019 in the week that had the juniors league final. He has not played football since then. He was able to recover in January 2020 but unfortunately, he got ill. He is now undertaking medication at his home as he stabilizes. He will be back training soon.

John Revita

The colorful defender got a knee injury against URA FC late January that has since kept him out. Revita started rehabilitation last week and is nearing his return. He should be able to make the squad in KCCA FC’s next game against Police FC next week.
