Wakiso Giants 0-3 KCCA FC

KCCA FC outclassed Wakiso Giants in the league opener in Wakiso.

Two first half goals from forwards Sadat Anaku and Davis Kasirye and a second half beauty from Ashraf Mugume is all KCCA FC needed to grab a win against Wakiso.

KCCA FC had the odds in their favor ahead of the game since Wakiso Giants had never won against them. On the past two occasions KCCA FC had one win and a draw against the purple sharks.

Sadat Anaku

Morley Byekwaso named 5 debutants in the starting XI. Benjamin Ochan, Innocent Wafula, Brian Majwega, Davis Kasirye and Geofrey Wasswa all started against Wakiso

In the 3rd minute, Sadat Anaku had the game’s first moment of offensive promise nodded inches wide.

Four minutes later, Wafula’s perfect cross was nodded home by Anaku to give KCCA FC the advantage.

In the 14th minute. Kasirye would have doubled KCCA FC’s lead but the ball flew inches off the upright.

Innocent Wafula

Wafula was booked by Mashood Ssali in the 16th minute.

In the 25th minute. Majwega played a good ball to Anaku who interchanged beautifully with Herbert Achai before the latter’s effort hit the side net.

At the half hour mark, Iguma played a long ball to Kasirye who lobbed the on rushing Wakiso custodian Kirya Ibrahim and calmly controlled the ball before slotting home the second goal for KCCA FC.

Skipper Benjamin Ochan was twice called into action to deny Frank Sebuufu and Rahmat Senfuka on the 40th and 44th minute.

At the stroke of halftime, Denis Iguma and Wakiso’s Ivan Bogere were booked.

Davis Kasirye

0-2 at the break.

After recess, Mugume picked up a loose ball just outside the Wakiso box and poked the ball home to extend KCCA’s lead.

A minute to the hour mark, Mato, Aheebwa and Usama replaced Poloto, Kasirye and Majwega.

In the 71st minute, Mato Rogers dribbled past his man before laying a good ball in the box for Aheebwa whose effort went wide.

Yasser Mugerwa and Sam Ssenyonjo replaced Mugume Ashraf and Sadat Anaku in the 74th minute.

Herbert Achai

In 89th minute, Geofrey Wasswa was booked for time wasting.

0-3 the final score.

KCCA FC starting the Morley Byekwaso era with a win.
