A summary of KCCA FC transfer business in January.

The 2021/22 January transfer business is done and dusted and the window had KCCA FC landing new acquisitions and also some players leaving on loan.

LOAN

Two players left the club on short loan stints until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Andrew Kawooya, a midfielder joined UPDF FC on loan until the end of the 2021/22 season. The midfielder was sent out on loan to gain back his confidence and also gain more playing time.

Another player sent out loan is Samuel Ssenyonjo. The forward has struggled to find playing time in the first round of the 2021/22 season. He has been loaned out to Wakiso Giants FC until the end of 2021/22 season.

KCCA FC has acquired services of three players in the January transfer window.

All the three players have previously played for KCCA FC.

Fillbert Obenchan penned a 3 and a half years contract with his boyhood club and will serve the club from January 2022 until June 2025

Obenchan who is a soccer academy graduate at KCCA, previously served for 6 years before running down his contract in May 2021.

He previously spent two years in the KCCA FC soccer academy 2015 -2016 and 2016-2017.

He then featured in the senior team for four years with a loan spell at UPDF Football Club.

Erisa Sekisambu

Erisa Ssekisambu – the forward who previously featured for KCCA FC in the 2019/20 season has signed for 6 months till the end of the 2021/22 season.

Ssekisambu had moved to Tarxien Rainbows (Malta) in January 2021 where he played football for a period of one year.

The player joins KCCA FC as a free agent and will have to compete with forwards like Davis Kasirye, Patrick Kaddu Sadat Anaku, Charles Lwanga and Brian Aheebwa.

Patrick Henry Kaddu – the forward who previously featured for KCCA FC in the period 2017 – 2019 has signed for 6 months till the end of the 2021/22 season but with an option of 2 years renewal after completion of his current contract with the club.

Kaddu had moved to RS Berkane (Morocco) in 2019/20 season. He was later loaned out to Ismaily FC (Egypt) in 2020.

Kaddu was then signed at Youssoufia Berrechid (Morocco) in late 2020 where he has been featuring before rejoining KCCA FC.

In 2018, Kaddu won the top scorer award in the Uganda Cup with 7 goals.

During his 2-year stint at KCCA, Kaddu scored 32 goals in 64 games. He is also a player for the Senior National Men’s Football Team.

The player joins KCCA FC as a free agent and will have to compete with forwards like Davis Kasirye, Erisa Sssekisambu Sadat Anaku, Charles Lwanga and Brian Aheebwa.
