KCCA FC were 3-0 winners against Mtibwa Sugar Sports Club in a CAF Confederation Cup game held at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
Allan Kyambadde’s goal three minutes into second half, Patrick Kaddu’s and Allan Okello’s picture book goal five minutes from time gave KCCA FC the advantage after the 1st leg.
From the onset, KCCA FC were the hungrier side and had a bunch of chances tucked away by Mtibwa’s custodian Shaaban Shaaban.
On 10 minutes, Gift Ali got to the end of Kizza Mustafa’s sweet delivery down the left flank but custodian Shaaban coolly collected.
From then on wards it was the ALLAN affair. Allan Kyambadde and Allan Okello combined well to find the opener but were denied on several occasions. On 25 minutes, the pair quickly exchanged but Kyambadde’s shot was parried away by the shot stopper.
The flying Kizza delivered a pinpoint cross from the left flank but Kaddu’s header went inches wide.
Two minutes later, Kyambadde’s diving header whistled off the upright with the goal at his mercy.
Three minutes after recess, Kyambadde, from outside the box belted the ball past Shaaban to break the deadlock and sent cheers among the home fans.
At the hour mark, Muzamir Mutyaba was introduced for Gift, a move to spice up creativity in the middle.
On 73 minutes, Kaddu nodded in the second for KCCA FC and was withdrawn a minute later for the bullet fast Muwada Mawejje.
Later, Jackson Nunda paved way for Mike Mutyaba. The introduction later proved to be spot on.
In the 85th minute Mike Mutyaba controlled and passed to Okello who weaved past a forest of legs and released a staggering finish from 20 yards to score for KCCA FC. A pure picture book goal with no script to match it.
3-0 the final score. KCCA FC with the advantage going into the return leg next Saturday 22nd December in Daresalaam-Tanzania.
Before the return leg, the lads shall have a precursor game on Tuesday 18th December against new entrants Paidha Black Angels in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
