CECAFA | KCCA FC to defend title

CECAFA Kagame Cup holders KCCA has confirmed participation in the 2020 edition.

The club was notified by FUFA after an invitation received from CECAFA.


FUFA has received communication from CECAFA about the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup to be hosted in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Uganda will be represented by StarTimes Uganda Premier League Champions Express FC and CECAFA Kagame Cup holders KCCA FC

The tournament will have 8 clubs as Atlabara Juba (South Sudan), Yanga (Tanzania), Azam (Tanzania), Le Messenger Ngozi (Burundi), APR (Rwanda), Tusker (Kenya) and Uganda’s duo of KCCA and Express.

The draw for the tournament will be conducted on Tuesday, 27th July 2021 and there will be two pools with four clubs in each group.

The championship kicks off on 1st August 2021 and will last for a fortnight.

KCCA are the defending champions after winning the title in 2019 hence breaking a 41 jinx.
