KCCA FC run riot against Proline FC in the final game of the first round of the Startimes Uganda Premier League held at Startimes Stadium.

The Champions were away but at home against bottom-placed Proline FC.

The game kicked off in unusual fashion a little dull from what was expected but later picked momentum late in the first half.

Okello danced his way through a forest of Proline legs but his effort went wide on 17 minutes.

At the half-hour mark, Sam Ssenyonjo met Musa’s cross but his overhead kick went inches wide.

At the stroke of halftime, Musa’s flawless kick smashed the crossbar and met Ssenyonjo in the right place at the right time and the teenager smashed the ball in the roof of the net to give KCCA FC the advantage before the break.

Two minutes later, Gift Ali took the resultant corner kick onto the crossbar and the ball met Nicholas Kasozi on the far post who nodded home to open his account for KCCA FC and also doubled the lead.

Mike Mutebi then rung changes, introducing Musana Hassan for Kizza Mustafa, Achai Herbert for Joseph Kafumbe.

The highlight of the day was Julius Poloto’s return to the field of play after a nine-month knee injury lay off.

The fast feet man received a standing ovation as he walked onto the pitch replacing teenager Sam Ssenyonjo.

Hardly had Poloto jumped on when he picked a ball from deep the midfield, took a touch and laid a flawless pass in Okello’s way. The teenager controlled and curled home the fourth for KCCA FC and a brace for himself.
