Express FC 1-3 KCCA FC
Startimes Uganda Premier League
Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium, Wakiso
KCCA FC picked three points away from home against Express FC in the Startimes Premier League held at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium, Wakiso.
The highly-rated fixture proved to be easy for KCCA FC as the Champions got ahead 18 minutes after the start from two quick goals in a space of four minutes from sharp shooters Sadat Anaku and Mike Mutyaba.
Anaku broke the deadlock with a rocket of a hit from outside the box that riffled into the back of the net with just a minute away from the quarter-hour mark and thus recorded his second league goal of the season and his first away goal in the league.
Four minutes later, Erisa Sekisambu teed up Mike Mutyaba who was found on the edge of the six-yard box and coolly slotted home the second.
After the restart, Anaku was withdrawn for Nigerian John Odumegwu as Mike Mutyaba also made way for Keziron Kizito.
Provider almost turned goalscorer when Sekisambu rattled the woodwork with a fierce shot that deflected above and out.
Defender Kato Samuel was then cautioned for a foul two minutes after the hour mark.
Nunda beat his marker and teed Keziron but the latter’s effort went over the bar just when the keeper seemed beaten.
In the 72 minute, Kizza’s freekick was brushed by Muzamiru and met an onrushing Yiga who turned the ball in his keeper’s net to stretch KCCA’s lead.
15 minutes from time, Express got a consolation when Obenchan fouled inside the box. Kalanda stepped up to take the penalty and scored to give his side the only positive from the game but later got cautioned.
1-3 the final score.
KCCA FC picking three points on the road and now have 19 points from nine games.
