Manager Mike Hillary Mutebi has come out to laud his skipper Timothy Awany as the best defender in the country.
I am amazed with Timothy’s growth game, he seems to improve game in game out. I don’t know of any better defender in this country in a one against one situation. I remember when we introduced him to the senior side back then, many people said he was an erratic player but we kept on giving him chances and here he is. Timothy has top class game reading, good aerial prowess, brings calmness to the team and above all he is a leader. If he can keep up and do more than he has done so far then he is destined for greatness.
Timothy Dennis Awany has scored two goals this season one coming against SC Villa away in the league and the other against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League game at Namboole.
