Five Summoned for U23 National Duty

Lawrence Bukenya has earned his place on the U 23 National side

Five KCCA FC players have been summoned to the U 23 National Team “The Kobs” for the U23 Total Africa Cup of Nations – Egypt 2019 qualifier first round match with South Sudan on 12th – 20th November 2018.

Among these are; Anaku Sadat U18 National League back to back top scorer for the 2016/7 and 2017/8 seasons also a player in the KCCA FC junior team. Another graduate from the KCCA FC Junior team that has been summoned is Lawrence Bukenya a player who is steadily making himself a mainstay on the senior team.

KCCA FC prospect Sadat Anaku has been summoned for U23 National Duty.

Other summoned players are Goal Keeper Tom Ikara, Hassan Musana and new signing Nicholas Kasozi.

Prior to the tournament, the team will have a non – residential training camp for summoned players from 5th – 6th October 2018 at Mandela National Stadium and on 7th October 2018 will have a friendly match with the Uganda Cranes.

Custodian Tom Ikara will have a chance to prove himself in National colors.

Speaking to www.kccafc.co.ug, some of the players had this to say about the call up.

I am so happy to be summoned for National Duty. It is every player’s dream to don the National Colors. I hope I can make the final team. Defender Hassan Musana said.
