Four KCCA FC players travelled with the Uganda Cranes team to Abu Dhabi in the wee hours of Monday 27th May for a residential camp ahead of the AFCON Finals due in Egypt.
The four include defender Timothy Dennis Awany, midfielder; Ibrahim Sadam Juma, and strikers Allan Kyambadde and Patrick Henry Kaddu who scored the goal that ensured Uganda would take part in the finals in Egypt.
The development means that the 13 times league Champions have the most number of players from the same club on the side that traveled for the camp in Abu Dhabi.
The travelling contingent comprises of 14 players who are; Dennis Onyango, Hassan Wasswa, Joseph Ochaya, Godfrey Walusimbi, Bevis Mugabi, Isaac Muleme, Aucho Khalid, Taddeo Lwanga, Waisswa Moses, Murushid Juuko, and the four above-mentioned KCCA FC players.
15 more players that are professionals will fly to Abu Dhabi to join the group that started its journey from Kampala.
Officials that traveled include; Issa Magola (leader of delegation), Sebastien Desabre (Head Coach), Mathias Lule (Assistant Coach), Fred Kajoba (Goal Keeper Coach), Ronald Kisoro (Team Doctor), Ivan Ssewanyana (Physiotherapist), Ahmed Hussein (Media Officer), Jerome D’Antonio (Physical Fitness Trainer), Lawrence Kizito and Ayub Balyejusa (Kit Managers).
The AFCON 2019 starts on 21st June and ends on 19th July 2019 and will played at six venues but in four cities in Egypt. 24 countries all from Africa will participate in the tournament.
