KCCA FC will play Kitara FC in round one of the FUFA Super 8 at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The top eight teams from the previous season, as per the league table, compete in the FUFA Super 8, a tournament that is a precursor to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
This year’s edition will feature the best seven teams of last season and a select side to make eight teams.
This will be the fourth edition of the FUFA Super 8.
KCCA FC won the inaugural tournament in August 2018, beating Onduparaka FC 2-0 in the final held at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
KCCA FC finished 3rd in last year’s edition, beating SC Villa 3-2 in the third place play off held at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
KCCA FC’s opponent, Kitara FC, finished fourth in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League last season, while KCCA FC finished fifth.
Kitara FC won the 50th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup and will represent Uganda in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
The Cityzens will be hoping they can continue their smooth pre season preparation with a win against Kitara FC in Lugogo.
