KCCA FC manager Mike Hillary Mutebi has lauded his team’s style of play but claims they need to score goals to compete for the championship.

KCCA FC played out a goalless stalemate against Maroons away in the league but Mutebi was impressed with the team’s style of play both on and off the ball.

Good result away from home, it adds to what we have but we need to match our playing style with goals. We need to be more effective in the final third. We are creating the chances but not scoring goals. Mutebi said

The gaffer vowed not to drop his team’s style of play because of the expectations to win games.

We are not going to sacrifice our identity of playing football ‘our way’ because we have to win games rather we must keep playing our style and add goals to that. The players have to take responsibility and we will not deter from that. We have to have an identity and we must keep that identity. We will keep going.

KCCA FC has got eight games to play this season and the manager thinks it’s still an open title chance and one that will go up to the final day.

We are not worried about how other teams perform rather we have to be concerned about how we play as a team. This league is likely to be won on the final day and that means we have to keep fighting and keep going until the end.
