Utility player Denis Iguma has come out to speak about his move to KCCA.
Iguma spoke to www.kccafc.co.ug and said
I feel very delighted to come to terms with KCCA FC and I am so proud to be part of a very big club like KCCA FC. I have been out of action for a while and I just want to go again with my new club.
I want to be an example to the players here. Most of them are young and need guidance. As an experienced player that has played professional football and for the national team, I have to be an example to them.
I have already talked about this with the manager and he tasked me to be a leader at the club. I will ensure I offer guidance and leadership to the boys and help them grow into better players.
I am excited to work with a very ambitious side like we have here. I want to play CAF football and get back to playing at the top.
When asked about his preferred position, Iguma said,
To be honest I am comfortable anywhere the coach plays me. I have been groomed to be ready to play anywhere and I have played as a striker, defender, midfielder before. I have been tasked to play various roles in one football game and I have executed well. I am willing to play anywhere the manager feels I should play.
The defender signed a two-year deal with the CECAFA Clubs Champions and will be a Kasasiro Boy until July 2022.
