Youngster James Mubezi has been handed a senior team contract for five years from 2023 – 2028.

The Left Center Back has previously been in the club’s reserve side for the 2022/23 season.

Mubezi was signed from Mbale Heroes FC in 2022 and was part of the KCCA FC U20 side that won the Cambiasso U20 tournament in Daresalam, Tanzania in July 2022.

Unfortunately, Mubezi suffered a setback when he got ruled out for the rest of the tournament due to a toe injury he suffered in the first game against Tanzania’s Ruvu Shooting U20.

Upon recovery from injury, Mubezi commenced training with the senior team throughout the 2022/23 season and has now been handed a senior team contract.

The club website spoke to James Mubezi and he had this to say;

I feel so delighted to sign my first contract with KCCA FC. This is a dream come true. I have been working so hard to impress the technical team and I am glad I caught their eye. I want to continue working hard and become a mainstay in the starting team. I have been around the club for a year and I have now acclimatized to the environment. I cannot wait for the pre-season and the season to start so I can get going
