Kaddu Nets Hat-trick To Extend KCCA FC’s Log Lead

Patrick Kaddu was the days’s hero for KCCA FC as he netted a hat-trick to keep KCCA FC up on the league log with 27 points.

Kaddu scored all the three goals in 43 minutes and the first two in an interval of five minutes between the 15th and 20th minute taking his season tally to 7 goals but with 6 scored in the league.

Allan Okello had the game’s first moment of offensive promise but his effort went over the cross bar.

Kaddu then came to life, scoring on 15 and 20 minutes giving the home fans joy accompanied with the amazing display from the lads on the day.

At the half hour mark, Hebert Achai weaved his way through the opposition’s defense and was brought down in the box by Shaban Wasswa but referee waved play on.

The constant attack on the vistors’ defense had them make a rare first half change, introducing Charlie Anjuvuku for Muhammad Kasirye.

Kaddu had a chance to record his hat-rick earlier on but his effort was parried away by custodian Kalumba on 39 minutes. His moment then came four minutes later when he beautifully brushed the ball in the net from a flawless ball off Kizza’s sweet left foot.

With a minute to the end of the opening stanza, Muzamir Mutyaba found himself in no man’s land and rattled the cross bar with a fierce shot that went out.

After recess, Steven Serwadda replaced Achai and he immediately showed his technical ability on the ball with a series of runs and dribbles past defenders.

Paidha’s Patrick Arua replaced Jackson Nsubuga. On 20 minutes, Nunda snapped the ball a centimeter over the bar and seconds later Okello was denied by Kalumba’s acrobatic save.

Steven Serwadda was a pain to Paidha’s defense on the evening.

KCCA FC then made a double substitution introducing Gift Ali for Nunda and Kyambadde for Kaddu.

On 83 minutes, Kizza Mustafa’s fierce shot was miraculously saved by Paidha’s custodian Kalumba.

Focus now changes to CAF Confederation Cup were KCCA FC will play Mtibwa Sugar SC on  Saturday 22nd December in Tanzania. The team travels on Thursday morning at 3 am aboard Kenyan airways.
