Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has relied on a stellar home record all season to ensure success; winning 13 of the 15 home league games at the Phillip Omondi Stadium on their way to retaining the league title.
The record has also stretched onto the continent with the club winning two and drawing the other game played on the continent thus far.
Those performances will once again be called upon on Tuesday as they seek to put their 2017 Total CAF Confederation Cup journey back on track when Tunisia’s Club Africain visit Lugogo.
Although the tournament is on league basis but we are not going to depend on other results. It’s important we try our level best to pick three points here so that the dream is on of trying to get into the quarterfinals. So it is very important that we win tomorrow
The manager Mike Mutebi stated ahead of the game. The team has been boosted by the return of goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan and Captain Dennis Okot who missed the first game because of accumulated yellow cards.

With Muzamir Mutyaba still out injured and Sadam Juma ruled out until the final two games, youngster Allan Okello is primed for a return to lift the team’s creative department.
It of course puts a lot of disorganization in as far as our plans are concerned. We’ll have to live with it but this kid is back and he will help us as far as creativity is concerned.
The manager said of Juma’s absence before confirming that that team will be pretty strong in the creating force.
That has been our problem but we are pretty comfortable and I believe the lads will do their best to play and win,” the manager added.
The Manager also revealed the technical team has done groundwork on their North African tournaments.
We know a bit about club Africain. When we were in Morocco I happened to watch about six league matches. And also last season’s matches on the continent. There’s nothing special about them. Still the same way Arabs play the same way Arabs play. They want to dominate the ball, possess and are smart like Esperance, El Masry the approach is the same.
KCCA FC lost the opening game against FUS Rabat in Morocco 3-0 while Club Africain won their opening game against Rivers United 3-1 in Tunisia.
