KCCA Executive Director Gives Reassurance of Support from KCCA Leadership During Familiarization Visit.

Today, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Hajjati Sharifah Buzeki and Deputy ED Benon Moses Kigenyi paid a familiarization visit to MTN Omondi Stadium to meet the KCCA FC Board and all staff members of the club.

This marked the first meeting between the KCCA leadership and the KCCA FC Board and staff since their appointment, solidifying the commitment to a long-term vision for the club.

The Executive Director reaffirmed support and emphasized a long-term vision of having a modern, fit-for-purpose stadium for KCCA FC.

The Executive Director further pledged support for an enhanced fans’ experience at the new stadium in terms of safety, accessibility, and amenities, and building a stronger connection between the club and its supporters. She also reaffirmed her support for the team by fast-tracking with KCCA management the purchase of a new team bus. After the meeting with the board and staff, among the action points were enhanced staff welfare, player development programs, and community engagement to build a stronger fan base.

We are here today to demonstrate our commitment to KCCA FC. Our vision is big. We aim to create a vibrant hub for the community, a place where fans can enjoy the beautiful game in a safe, accessible, and comfortable environment. We are dedicated to working closely with the club to ensure this vision becomes a reality. We came here to know the progress of construction work on the stadium. We have found out that the team bus is not in good condition, and we shall discuss this and several other issues with management and how we can fast-track this.

This visit is a testament to KCCA’s commitment to the growth and development of KCCA FC. “We are excited to work hand-in-hand with the KCCA leadership to build and complete a stadium that we can all be proud of, a place where our fans can call home.

Following the meeting with the board and staff, several key action points were identified. These included a focus on enhanced staff welfare, the implementation of comprehensive player development programs, and a renewed emphasis on community engagement to build a stronger and more engaged fan base.

We are committed to building a sustainable future for KCCA FC,” said Anisha Shahir Muhoozi, CEO of KCCA FC, as she gave an overview of the club. “The support from KCCA is invaluable, and we are confident that by working together, we can achieve our goals both on and off the pitch. The focus on staff welfare, player development, and building a huge fan base will be crucial to our long-term success.

The visit concluded on a positive note, with the Executive Director urging Kampala citizens and KCCA FC fans to keep supporting KCCA FC, through buying the club’s merchandise and paying to watch its games.

I urge all the people of Kampala and KCCA FC fans to keep supporting the club. We have a league game on Sunday against Vipers SC, and I will be present at the game and supporting KCCA FC all the way. Let us flock the stadium in big numbers and rally behind the team.
