KCCA FC resumed preparations for the CAF Champions League Preliminary round return leg against CD Primeiro de Agosto on Monday with a morning training session at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
The league champions will be carrying a one goal advantage to Luanda and will be backing on that to advance to the next the first round of the competition.
Speaking to www.kccafc.co.ug, club assistant manager Morley expressed confidence that the team will be ready to face Agosto at their own turf.
We don’t want to take any chances, and the players know it to, and coming here to Namboole is one of the ways to show how serious we are taking this game
Byekwaso was speaking after the training which had everyone taking part, apart from Jackson Nunda and Hassan Wasswa Dazo who were undergoing their rehabilitation on the sidelines.

KCCA FC were also boosted by the good condition they found the Namboole pitch, the stadium’s playing surface has been undergoing therapy, which has made it softer compared to the scotching sun of late.
The Ground is soft and actually playable compared to the condition it has been in, in the recent past, which helps us because we are going to play at a similar ground if not better, the training sessions we shall have here are going to be very useful”
KCCA FC striker Geoffrey Serunkuuma said after the training as he compared the Namboole pitch to the Estádio 11 de Novembro where the return leg will be played.

Just like in the return leg, Serunkuuma will be expected to carry his goal scoring boots to Angola as that precious away goal will brighten KCCA FC’s chances of advancing to the next level.
All KCCA FC need to do is force a draw; they can even afford to lose with a one goal margin that is 1-0, that would force the game into post-match spot kicks.
