KCCA FC’s Timothy Awany and Sadam Juma celebrate a goal during the CAF Champions League game against Al Ahly at Namboole.

KCCA FC convincingly humbled the continent’s oldest and most successful club AL Ahly 2-0 to go second in group A.

Sadam ‘Juma-Nature’ Ibrahim Juma broke the deadlock on 73 minutes with a scorcher from 30 yards -after a prolonged siege on the opponents goal- that whistled past the custodian and into top right corner of the net.

Inspirational Skipper Timothy Denis Awany – who never put a foot wrong- held his nerve to tuck away a penalty in the 88th minute after a foul on Derrick Nsibambi to stretch the lead to 2-0.

Charles Lukwago kept a clean sheet against Al Ahly, his fourth in five games this campaign

KCCA FC’s shot stopper Charles Lukwago arguably the best player of the day made several fine saves to frustrate Al Ahly. The custodian made a wonderful interception to keep Said Ebeid’s effort out.

In the 23rd minute, Habib Kavuma held the ball in the box and Said Ebeid stood to take the resultant kick but custodian Lukwago brilliantly saved

Shaban Muhammad broke into space, beat Saamir Ali and shot but custodian Sherif Ekramy was equal to the task on 40 minutes.
